Ballina Dragons ethos is Meitheal Abhainn (River Community) our crew are the paddlers, drummer, steersperson, coach, sponsors, family, friends and community. We are a volunteer led non-profit club.

We are inclusive of all aged 18+. We are established to support our community, people impacted by cancer and those who have been impacted by the recent pandemic at every level.

In the words of President Mary Robinson ‘ somebody who seems strong is not always strong. There are moments when one can be weak and need the friendship of friends and their support.

Ballina Dragons are paying forward with gratitude and we believe we can leave a legacy of kindness, understanding and connectedness using the medium of Dragon Boating.

Women’s mayo mini marathon 2024

We are supporting one of our members who is currently going through treatment and will finish treatment on 30th April. On the 5th May she will take part in the Women's Mayo Mini Marathon 2024.

All proceeds will be going towards the purchase of a new boat. We are wishing our member all the best and we will be with you every step of the way!!!
